Resi RampAndy’s Yard 7.5ft tall resi landing at the new house!  Although we are slightly restricted for space, my wife was kind enough to let me build a 6ft tall launch ramp into a 7.5ft tall step up resi.  The resi itself is 12ft x 40ft.  This ramp is massive!  I built it with one goal in mind; landing a double backflip.  I was amazed at how well this resi protected me throughout the double backflip learning process.  I took several hard crashes before I landed the double flip, but I was able to get back on my bike after each crash.  Had I crashed on a wooden or dirt ramp, I would have surely been sent to the hospital.
Resi RampThe resi ramp above was actually one of the first resi ramp conversion projects I worked on.  We took an existing 4.5ft tall box jump, and turned it into a super fun resi ramp setup.  Once the resi was put on this ramp, the jump really became everyones best friend.  Before the resi we rode this ramp once or twice a week.  Once the resi was added, we rode this ramp every chance we could.  It really made riding more fun for us.  We could do all the tricks we wanted to without the fear of being hurt when we crashed.  This resi gave me and other local riders a huge boost of confidence which allowed us to exponentially progress. The resi dimensions here were 10ft x 25ft.

Hey there Andy, looking for an 8 x 10 foot piece of this rubber sheet. How much will it cost me? Also how heavy and how thick is it- want to know how difficult or easy it will be to move it from one set of trails to another. I’d really appreciate your response as l am interested in purchasing this product.

    Thanks,

    Bejan.

Hi Bejan, the cost of petroleum changes almost daily. So the cost of the resi material (a petroleum product) varies up or down depending on the day. If I respond to your comment on my site with todays price, someone may think its cheaper than it really is if they read the comment a year from now. Usually the price increase and I don’t want to mislead anyone. So if you don’t mind, send me an email at andysyard@yahoo.com and I can give you the price and get you a shipping quote based on your location.

The material is 1/4 inch thick. It weights about 1.25 lbs per square foot. I have 25x10ft of resi at my house and its almost impossible to move on my own. However it should be much easier to move 10x8ft. If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to email me.

      Thanks!
